Pain is unavoidable. You should know this, as long as you're on planet Earth, you're likely to experience pain. The feeling of being hurt is one of the worst feelings we can experience. It makes us weak. It crushes the spirit.

1. SELF LOVE.
This is by far the best way to recover from pain/hurt. When you love yourself, you realise that nothing else really matters, and that's when life falls into place. A little bit of self love and your journey to freedom begins.

2. BE HAPPY WITH WHAT YOU STILL HAVE.
Yes, hurt is painful but it is worse when we fail to acknowledge the blessings in our life. Maybe that boyfriend or girlfriend was unrequited but it is even worse when you don't return the love of those who love you. And far worse when we fail to acknowledge the blessings in our lives.

No matter how much pain you've been into, there is always so much to be grateful for. And so, while you're still hurt, be happy and grateful for what you still have.

3. SHARE MEMORIES.
Express your feelings with others. You don't have to be ashamed of being hurt. Rather, love yourself and also respect yourself enough to release the pain. We are taught that the worst part of holding memories is not the pain, its loneliness of it. Memories need to be shared.
