The purpose of this article is to prove the saving power of the Almighty God. I have with me over one hundred (100) scriptures proving the saving power of God but for the sake of shortness - this article will consist only of about thirty(30) of them with a very short commentary. I believe an ardent Christian in search for truth will find the passages self explanatory.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God OUR Savior [1 Tim 2:3]. The keyword to be highlighted in the above context is "OUR". The "OUR" represents all of us - THE WORLD.
Who WILL have ALL MEN to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth [1 Tim 2:4]. Highlight the keywords {WILL, ALL MEN} - It is the WILL of God to save ALL MEN.
Who gave himself a RANSOM for ALL, this to be a testimony at the proper time [1 Tim 2:6]. The keywords to be highlighted are {RANSOM, ALL} - A RANSOM for ALL means for His sake, we are saved.
Have we not ALL one father? has not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers [Mal 2:10]. The context is self explanatory. God is the Father of ALL mankind.
But you, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in mercy and truth [Psalm 86:15]. We have a merciful and loving Father.
And Jesus said unto him, Why call me good? there is none good but one, that is, God [Mark 10:18]. We have a Good Father.
And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia:for the Lord God omnipotent reigns [ Rev 19:6]. The Lord is omnipotent therefore who can stop Him from enforcing His will[ 1 Tim 2:4] - It is the will of God to save ALL MEN.
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure [Isaiah 46:10]. Scripture tells us that God knows everything {A to Z}. He has said that ALL MEN will be saved.
Everything has already been decided. It was known long ago what each person would be. So there's no use arguing with God about your destiny [Ecclesiastes 6:10].
He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins- and not only our sins but the sins of ALL the world [1 John 2:2].
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering towards us, not willing that any should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance. [2 Peter 3:9]
And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for ALL shall know the Lord, from the least of them to the greatest of them [Hebrews 8:11]. I want you to highlight the text "ALL" which means everyone.
ALL the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord, and ALL the kindreds of the nations shall worship before you. [Psalm 22:27]
And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and ALL FLESH shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it [Isaiah 40:5]. Note that it said "ALL FLESH".
For he shall have judgment without mercy, that has showed no mercy; and mercy triumphs over judgment [James 2:10].
For he that is dead is freed from sin [Romans 6:7]. How do you understand this statement?
And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to myself [John 12:32]. Such a bold statement! Why will Jesus say that? Because His mission was to save THE WORLD.
With my soul have I desired you in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek you early: FOR WHEN YOUR JUDGMENT ARE IN THE EARTH, THE INHABITANTS OF THE WORLD WILL LEARN RIGHTEOUSNESS [Isaiah 26:9]. Do I have to give a commentary on the above context? Scripture tells us that Everyone{good or evil} will learn righteousness.
And when ALL THINGS shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put ALL THINGS under him, that God may be ALL in ALL [1 Cor 15:28]. God will be sovereign over all us all. That is we will all be under his care.
For by him were ALL THINGS created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: ALL THINGS were created by him, and for him. [Col 1:16]. Can Satan take away what belongs to Christ? I don't think such a thought can enter your mind.
The next day, John saw Jesus coming unto him, and said, Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of THE WORLD [John 1:29]. Scriptures boldly declare statements like these - why do you doubt?
I hope the above scriptures are enough to give you great faith in believing in the ultimate victory of Christ. The mission of Christ was to save ALL MANKIND. It is rather unfortunate tradition has turned the truth upside down but I hope your eyes have been open to see this glorious truth written on almost every page of the bible. BUT JESUS CAME TO SAVE US FROM GOING TO HELL
This is not true. Hell was never a place the Jews were hoping to be saved from, since the Jewish bible(The Tanakh) has no concept of Hell in it! But they need to be saved from their sins and death [Romans 5:17-19]. Jesus came as the Messiah to fulfill all of God's plan. Through Christ comes the salvation, kingdom of God, deliverance from sin and death and all that God had promised through the Old Testament Scriptures.
